Durban Fashion Fair 2022
Mbaliyezwe Atelier founder and creative director, Mbaliyezwe Ndlela, was one of 25 fashion designers selected for the Durban Fashion Fair 2022 Mentorship Programme - where she was mentored by BET Made In Africa judge, Doctoral Candidate and CEO of Fezile Fashion Skills Academy (FFSA), Fezile Mdletshe; as well as members of her FFSA team. Through the mentorship, Mbaliyezwe learned new innovative techniques and the latest industry trends. The Mbaliyezwe Atelier, four of five looks, debut range showcased on Day 3 of the Durban Fashion Fair 2022, at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre Complex.

Our 'Genesis: The Garden of Eden' Durban Fashion Fair debut range consisted of five looks, of which four were showcased (per show choreography), and included exclusive Mbaliyezwe Atelier bags, made from leather off-cuts kindly sponsored by Labora Shoes, Durban.
